Welcome to International Women’s Fair

The Government of Ghana under the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs’ in collaboration with Creative Trends and the people of Ghana are pleased to host the 2nd International Womens Fair (IWF).

On behalf of Creative Trends, I humbly welcome you all to this year’s event which promises to be extremely “Insightful | Collaborative | Change”. IWF2011 will bring our world closer to establishing and deepening collaborative solutions by both genders. My firm belief is that, most of the problems (exception of natural disasters) we face in the world are lifestyle generated and not until we can engage both sexes in joint solution searches, devoid of sexism, activism, divisiveness we might just remain where we are. Whiles at this, let us spare a moment of thought for the deprived, under privileged, marginalized and the several minorities in our society who need our assistance, support and help to make sense of this world.

This year’s theme of “The Working Woman’s Contribution to Development”, speaks to the issue of allowing competent women to take charge of their areas of expertise and in the same breath encouraging men to respect, appreciate and feel comfortable of the fact that when women take these powerful positions, they bear same aims, objectives and motivations as us.

Ghana is a peaceful country with very warm and decent populace. We cherish our women and celebrate the fact that the world is coming here to be part of this discourse. In all there will be eight (8) plenary sessions for two (2) days, three days exhibition and three nights of theatre. You cannot afford to miss the fun, laughter, bonding, networking and the new thinking our world is nurturing.

You will be EMPOWERED, EDUCATED and ENGAGED in the activities that will go on during this fair.
